about this event
Georgina’s work is about the intensity of the city and how we navigate through it with symbols, images, maps and sounds. Her solo exhibition is a collection of giclee prints of her digital artwork, which all start as drawing collages. Georgina often feels overwhelmed in the city as we are constantly bombarded with noise and she is particularly interested in depicting what she sees as crowded and claustrophobic commuter situations, but others regard as normal conditions on their daily journey to work. Her work generally starts at a tube station in London where she draws or photographs anything that catches her eye along the journey. Rather like a flâneur, she strolls along observing society, waiting for things to find or interest her.
