The wet day did not dampen the enthusiasm for Cranleigh Arts Centre 2nd annual Food Fair. More than 700 foodies sampled the handmade artisan bread, chutneys, sauces, liquors, handmade chocolate truffles and freshly produced organic fruits and vegetables.
Our local ale producer The Firebird Brewing Company, was on site demonstrating its range of beers.
Meat-eaters enjoyed Garlic Wood Farm’s sumptuous steak burgers and rarebreed pork sausages on the day and there will be plenty of cupcakes, chocolates and cakes available to satisfy those with a sweet-tooth.

A tea-rrific time was had by all at the launch of Cranleigh Arts Centre’s new-look Art Tea House. The event took place on Saturday 6 September to celebrate the funds raised by the Supporters of Cranleigh Arts Centre’s 100 Club, which made the refurbishment work possible.
Members of the public joined Arts Centre Volunteers and local artists to view the Tea House’s new design and sample the new range of herbal teas and cakes on offer. The day also marked the launch of the Arts Centre’s new craft initiative, “Handmade at Cranleigh”, where jewellery, ceramics and eco-friendly handbags created by local artists are now on display and for sale at the Art Tea House.
